How to use Wordle Sleuth
Wordle Sleuth is a helper for Wordle-style guessing games. Enter the guesses you’ve made and the colours the game gave you, and Wordle Sleuth shows you which answers are still possible. It works with words from 5 to 12 letters.
- Choose the word length you’re playing.
- Click the board, then type your guess with your keyboard or the on-screen keys.
- Tap each tile to match the colour the game gave you: green means the letter is correct and in the right place, yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different place, and grey means the letter is not in the word.
- Watch the list of possible answers narrow down with every guess.
Tips for solving faster
- Pick a strong starting word. Words with common letters and several vowels, such as words containing A, E, R, S and T, rule out the most answers.
- Use your second guess to explore. If your first guess gives few colours, try a word with five completely new letters instead of building on the old one.
- Remember repeated letters. Answers can have double letters, such as SPOON or LEVEL. Don’t rule them out.
- Think about positions. A yellow letter tells you where the letter is not, which is useful information too.
